Biogas Mixers
Interview
The mixers are used in the biogas industry in fermenters, post-digesters, preliminary tanks and filtrate tanks for mixing vegetable and animal waste substrates and filtrate. Depending on the installation method and the tasks set, they are divided into the following types: central, vertical, submersible, inclined and side mixers.

The central mixer (agitator) is used on biogas plants for mixing substrates with low-viscosity media with a dry matter content of up to 12%. One of its main features is that feeding taking place at the center of the reactor’s roof. The mixer construction consists of a geared motor installed outside the tank and a long shaft attached to it inside the tank. The blades are mounted on the shaft. The mixer design allows the possibility of servicing the motor without stopping the processes in the biogas reactor, low energy consumption and the fact that it creates an optimal heat and mass exchange in the reactor.

The central mixer (agitator) is suitable for steel tanks with volume range from 1000 and up to 9000 m³. The range of motor power can be selected depending on the requirements from 7.5 kW to 75 kW. The mixer is isolated from the atmosphere through a water seal with integrated level control. The mixer is designed to work in the aggressive environment of a biogas reactor and has rotation speed range from 14 to 19 rpm.
The agitators we manufacture for the biogas industry are made of steel, steel/stainless steel, or made completely of stainless steel. In this case, free shaft lengths of up to 24,000 mm and shaft diameters of up to 240 mm can be realised. Exceptional vertical integration in our production also allows us to manu- facture or finish most of the required agitator compo- nents independently. In this way, we can respond to your wishes with the greatest possible degree of flexi- bility and, at the same time, guarantee precision, quality and ease of maintenance.
